Whether you are a gym Rockstar, rec league warrior, runner, mechanic or a truck driver, how your activities affect your spine are all the same. Your spinal column is made up of 24 independent vertebrae that enable your body to move, twist and bend during activities. It also helps protect the delicate central nervous system that controls and coordinates every muscle, tissue, and organ of the body. The joint dysfunction that includes, bone, muscle ligament and tendon can negatively affect proper nerve communication from the brain to the body-often resulting in pain and discomfort.
Early Treatment is Better
As with any form of treatment, chiropractic care should be sought early after the injury for optimal results. A person who neglects their injury puts themselves at risk for a chronic problem.
